25 years of swearing by your paint.
- - Long-time user trusted it to clients, but paint quality declined and hurts performance.
- - Brushes gum up fast; rollers leave edge lines, like glue.
ive been using you paint for 25 years. *** sworn by it to all my clients.
lately ive notice my *** skills drop off and couldnt figure out why since I paint alot. my brush gets gummed up in 15 mins, rollers leaving edge lines. was going to see an eye doctor. but no its just that youve made your paint *** its like painting with glue.
shameful. id rather use fingerprints.
User's recommendation: since changing their formula, ben Moore has become an inferior paint. but their price tag is still the same. they are selling crap off a once earned reputation. I wont use it again.

Verified ReviewerColor does not match from previous stain to new
- - I stained a deck with Arbor Coat a year ago and need more.
- - BM dropped Arbor Coat base and couldn't colormatch new base.
- - Can't finish the job; owner mad.
stained a new deck with Arbor Coat a year ago, need more stain now and BM dropped the Arbor coat base but did not correctly make the color match using the new base. Now I have a job which I can not finish because BM does not do color matching and the owner is mad and I am in screwed because some idiot did not think it was important to match colors... Hope SW will save me, have used BM for decades inside and out, this is a deal killer.
User's recommendation: Avoid BM products

Verified ReviewerPaint color formula changed and does not match original color
- - Pale Oak formula changed; old and new differ under the name.
- - Two gallons of paint and two days of labor; seeking refund from Benjamin Moore.
We spent two full days painting our dining room the same color as our kitchen that was painted 7 months earlier. Both rooms were supposed to be Pale Oak, but the older paint formula for Pale Oak is different than the new paint formula for the Pale Oak paint we just purchased.
We purchased Regal Select, so the identical quality paint. The new color is gray and does not have the warmth of the taupe undertones in the paint purchased last year. This is INSANE that you would change the color formula and not rename the color! You just lost a 30-year customer because we want reimbursement for not only two gallons of paint, paint supplies but for two days of labor of two people painting a room.
We now need to paint our dining room again using the SAME PAINT COLOR but using the OLD FORMULA all because some idiot in home office decided to change the paint color formulation for Pale Oak. We expect a refund from BM.
User's recommendation: Do not assume your paint color is the same as an older color you purchased. They change their formulas and colors of paint and use the same name! Idiots!

Verified Reviewer |Paint quality varies in different can
- - Oil-based fence product is considered good.
- - Last year they were told oil-based isn’t sold.
- - Four water-based cans were bought, and one is watery.
I didn't hear from anyone. I don't want to call Benjaminmore because I made a mistake of writing a review before calling them. Thank you for the follow up.
Anyway, by trusting the brand, I bought the water-based. Trusting the brand, I decided to buy the water-based product instead. I purchased two cans on sale and bought two more at full price. The painter informed me that one of the cans is too watery, and I should take it back to the store.
However, since my car is in for service, I couldn't go. The watery paint affected the areas I repainted last week, so I will likely need to repaint those sections again next week.
I'm disappointed with how Benjamin Moore is handling this situation. I bought the paint from the Heartland location in Mississauga, a location.
- Inside house paint has no issues
- Outdoor

- - Bought wallpaper; return policy not stated.
- - Cost $180; not enough, wanted to return, refused; HQ said they'd talk to the rep, but no update in weeks.
They wouldn't take back the roll of unopened wallpaper, and benjamin more head office said it wasn't there concern as stores are independent. So I'm stuck with a 160$ roll of wall paper that's not enough to do one wall.
Bought a roll.of wallpaper that the store dis not mention about the return policy. After spending 180 dollars in store when the wallpaper arrive was no where near enough and I would have needed 3 more rolls ..
at this point I said that was to.much for.one wall and I wanted to return it .
She refused and I called both head offices and was told they would talk with her rep.. have not heard nothing this was 3 weeks ago...
User's recommendation: Answer the complaints this is my 3rd complaint. Will not shop here ever again and will definitely write a review of this situation

Verified ReviewerMy account was flagged don't know why
Trying to withdraw but said my account was flagged I need my money so I can pay bills please fix this for me
Hard to use website.
- - Accessing the tool to paint uploaded pictures was hard.
- - Discount banner overrode site menus.
- - The virtual assistant offered limited color options.
I was trying to help friend select a BM paint, but had difficulty accessing tool to paint uploaded picture. Banner with discount offer was overriding site menus.
Virtual assistant minimally helpful in making color recommendations (options too limited) and I had to start over every time I wanted to view a different option, ie, cozy gray. I finally gave up.

Verified ReviewerI wanted a dark green color
I wanted a dark green color and went with HC-187, a 'Blackened Forest Green.' No, it's just black. No green.
It almost looks pitch black. I'm very upset.
User's recommendation: Don't buy Behr their colors are misrepresented and you are going to have to redo entire rooms in your house

You are ridiculous for asking for labor costs for two people when there was no labor cost. It was a DIY project.
I'm writing this review to warn others, especially women, about my deeply uncomfortable experience with Arben Hajdini (who calls himself "Ben"), the owner of Ben’s Pro Painting. I initially contacted him for a painting quote.
On his first visit, he seemed professional, but things quickly changed. Rather than providing a quote after his initial visit, Ben insisted he needed to return multiple times to "reassess" the job. Each time, he showed up without measurements or tools and seemed more focused on me than the work itself. His behavior started to feel inappropriate — he began commenting on my appearance and eventually made explicit remarks about my body that were completely unprofessional and unwelcome.
He also brought up unrelated topics, including sexual content like OnlyFans, and made references to other clients in a way that made me very uncomfortable. His tone and behavior strongly suggested he had personal motives for continuing to visit my home rather than professional ones. I was living alone at the time, and his actions made me feel vulnerable and unsafe. After I told him clearly that his comments and behavior were inappropriate and that I no longer wanted to work with him, he began calling and texting me repeatedly.
The messages became aggressive and threatening, which escalated my concerns. I never received a formal quote or any legitimate follow-up about the job. My interaction with Ben felt like a calculated abuse of a service call to gain access to a woman living alone. I’m sharing this because I believe others deserve to know what I experienced before deciding to invite this business into their homes.
I do not recommend Ben’s Pro Painting based on this experience. I hope this review helps others avoid a similar situation.
