Benjamin Moore - BM Satin Advance paint quality very dissapointing
Satin Impervo used to be part of the painter's Bible. None made any more!
We got Advance Waterborne Alkyd that has low VOC. Our process is now 1- Sand trim and cabinet wood; use paper and a Black & Decker Mouse. 2- Vacuum dust as needed; 3- Light washing using Fantastic and/or very dilute Dawn; use old toothbrushes to clean moldings. 4- Apply 1 coat of Zinser 123; 5- Finish using Behr Marquee Satin paint.
Marquee is a tad more expensive than Advance but it covers well, does not drip or sag and cleans up easily and can be used a primer. If you are painting trim a white or off white, use the 123 and overcoat with the Marquee. Advance has a 16 hour recoat time!!!
Do not use this paint unless you have nothing else to do. It does not cover well, leaves brush marks galore and dries much too quickly.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
